Conditions of participation

1.1.     Participation in this competition requires the participant to provide Zermatt Tourism with their title, first name, surname, email address and preferred language. The participant’s personal data is collected, processed and used for the purpose of running the competition including announcement of the winner, and for sending newsletters (provided the participant has granted consent), as described in these conditions of participation or in the participation form for the prize game (“purposes”).

1.2.     Zermatt Tourism, Bahnhofplatz 5, 3920 Zermatt, Switzerland is responsible for the processing of personal data for the stated purposes. Personal data that is collected in the scope of this competition is processed in accordance with the applicable data protection rules and will not be shared with third parties.

1.3.     In order to ensure participation in the competition, it is necessary that the participants provide the organiser with the data listed above. This is the only way Zermatt Tourism can fulfil its contractual obligations in the context of the competition and actually run the competition. 

1.4.     Zermatt Tourism will also use the participant’s data to send the participant a one-off thank-you email. Following this, the participant’s data will only be processed if the participant has consented to receive a newsletter. 1.5.     Participants can assert their data protection rights (such as information, correction, blocking and deletion of data) at any time by sending an email to datenschutz@zermatt.swss.

1.6.     Personal data will only be stored for the length of time required for the purpose for which it has been collected, i.e. until all prizes have been claimed or until consent is withdrawn.
